Marion-Kay Barbeque Pork
Pork Barbecue is a hearty and flavorful dish that combines tender pork loin with a rich and aromatic barbecue sauce. Ingredients
- 4 1/2 to 5 lbs. Pork Loin
- 2 T. M-K Whole Celery Seed
- 2 T. M-K Chili Powder
- 2 T. Salt
- 2 tsp. M-K Paprika
- 1/2 tsp. M-K Cayenne Red Pepper
- 2 c. Broth (reserved from pork loin cooking)
- 1 lg. Onion, chopped
- 3/4 c. Brown Sugar
- 2 c. Tomato Puree
- 1/2 c. Vinegar
Directions
- Preheat the oven and place the pork loin in a covered roaster with 2 cups of water. Bake until the pork is tender.
- Once cooked, remove the pork from the oven and let it cool slightly. Cube the meat and set aside.
- In a separate bowl or container, reserve 2 cups of the broth from the cooked pork loin.
- In a large pot, combine the cubed meat, M-K Whole Celery Seed, M-K Chili Powder, Salt, M-K Paprika, M-K Cayenne Red Pepper, reserved broth, chopped onion, brown sugar, tomato puree, and vinegar.
- Cook the mixture on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft and translucent, approximately 45 minutes.
- Once done, serve the pork barbecue as a filling for sandwiches.
