Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 1 tsp M-K Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 2 cups Flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
- 2 tbsp Butter, melted
- 2 tsp M-K Ground Cinnamon
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 2 tbsp Hot Water
- 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans
Directions
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add beaten egg and M-K Pure Vanilla Extract, then beat well.
- Add sifted dry ingredients and milk.
- Spread half of the batter in a greased, floured loaf pan.
- In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, M-K Ground Cinnamon, flour, and hot water to create a cinnamon mixture.
- Drizzle half of the cinnamon mixture over the batter in the loaf pan.
- Sprinkle 1/4 cup of chopped pecans over the batter.
- Repeat the process by adding the remaining batter.
- Drizzle the rest of the cinnamon mixture over the second layer of batter.
- Sprinkle the remaining chopped pecans on top.
- Bake at 375°F for about 30 minutes.
