Directions
- Use 3-4 lbs of lean meat, thinly sliced (1/8″ to 3/16″ thick).
- Slice the meat across the grain for tender jerky or with the grain for traditional style jerky.
- If buying meat from a store, ask them to slice it for you.
- In a large container or zip-loc bag, mix the packet contents with 2 cups (16oz) of water until dissolved.
- Add the sliced meat to the mixture and stir or shake to ensure it’s fully coated.
- Seal the container or bag and refrigerate overnight (8-10 hours).
- Follow the additional drying instructions on the J.R. Mad’s Jerky Marinade Packet.
