Cinnamon Balls
Cinnamon Balls are delightful bite-sized treats infused with the rich essence of M-K Butter Flavor and the comforting warmth of cinnamon. These soft-centered cookies, with their sugary cinnamon crust, are perfect alongside a cup of tea or coffee. Ingredients
- 1 c. Shortening
- 1 1/2 c. Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 3/4 c. Flour, sifted
- 2 tsp. M-K Cream of Tartar
- 1 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. M-K Pure Vanilla Extract
- For Coating: 2 Tablespoons Sugar and 2 teaspoons M-K Ground Cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the shortening, sugar, and eggs until smooth and well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, M-K Cream of Tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture into the creamed mixture. Mix well.
- Stir in the M-K Pure Vanilla Extract until combined.
- In a separate small bowl, combine the 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of M-K Ground Cinnamon. This will be your cinnamon sugar coating.
- Roll the cookie dough into small walnut-sized balls.
- Roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture until it’s fully coated.
- Place the coated balls on an ungreased cookie sheet, ensuring that they’re spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden brown. The cookies should still be soft in the middle.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
